Donald Douglass served with the 2nd Battalion the Parachute Regiment at Arnhem
where he was taken POW by the Germans. After the war he and his family moved to
Australia and became active members of the Christian Church. This book tells of
their life in Australia but also remembers their earlier years including Don's
experiences at Arnhem and as a POW.
Lt. Donald Douglass served in B Coy of the 2nd Battalion the Parachute Regiment.
He was CO of the Assault Platoon and fought with his men at the Arnhem road bridge
where he was eventually taken prisoner by the Germans
