Operation Market Garden Book

Hardback with dustjacket. First published in October 1989 by "Brassey's". Printer N/K.
Written by Henry Morris and Gerald Smith. ISBN number 008037705X.
This book comprises a comprehensive and indispensable history of the Jewish contribution
to the British Armed Forces in the Second World War. Many were British-born or living
in Britain, but large numbers of Jews in Palestine also volunteered. The Rolls of Honour
contained in this book show that many of these men and women gave their lives in the war
and many more were wounded. It also shows how the response from British Jews to the call
to arms outstripped that of any other UK group as a percentage of the population.
The book is illustrated with photographs of individual servicemen.
